RISING STARS

Rising Stars (4th-8th Grade)
Our Rising Stars program is for players ages 4th grade to middle school. We have a specific curriculum for this age group that allows for them to achieve 3 goals:
1- Learn the game. Development never stops. Players will learn individual skills and team concepts in order to grow their understanding of the game.
2- Compete. Competition brings out the best in us. We have competitive drills and competitive games in our training and leagues.
3- Have fun. The game should be challenging but it should also be fun. We teach players to have great attitudes and we teach them how to be good teammates. Our coaches make a point to challenge players and encourage them as well.
For Rising Stars we offer 4 different programs that are outlined below.

Skills & Drills Membership
These athletes meet up to twice per week for 60 minutes of group skills training. This is a great way to get your player into the Manzer mix of things as we help them improve their ball handling, passing, shooting, defense, and general understanding of the game.

Rising Stars Chick-fil-A Development League
This is a staple of Manzer Basketball. In this program we teach the game for the first 60-minutes, then players compete for the next 60-minutes in a competitive refereed game. Our goal is to teach players the right way to play – proper spacing, passing and cutting, learning to defend, etc.
